Why iVolunteer.ca?

Our volunteers have responded in amazing ways! We have successfully responded to over 1500 volunteer requests from over 400 agency partners. Through iVolunteer.ca, you can connect your organization to a pool of over 15,000 registered volunteers. We are focused on recruiting and are growing every day.

In areas that have a lot of volunteers signed up, we can offer rapid. On average, it takes us just two weeks from when your organization posts an opportunity to fulfill a volunteer (provided the organization promptly confirms and selects its candidates).

If your geographic area isn’t yet heavily populated by iVolunteer.ca volunteers, you can help us build your community’s volunteer capacity by advertising and promoting your volunteer opportunities on iVolunteer.ca. This will attract more volunteer activity, which will lead to more placements in the long term.

Getting Started

If your organization is registered as a charity with the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) or you are a BC-registered nonprofit society, you can follow these steps to get started:

1. Register your organization.
2. Look for a confirmation email in your inbox or spam folder within one business day, indicating that your organization's profile has been approved.
3. Start posting volunteer opportunities and welcoming United Way BC volunteers to your organization.
