Who We Are

We are a dedicated non-profit and charity organization based in Northeastern British Columbia, committed to empowering and supporting seniors across a 150 km radius of Fort St. John. Our mission focuses on enhancing the well-being of diverse senior populations, including Indigenous seniors, LGBTQ+ seniors, war veterans, and those living on modest fixed incomes in rural communities throughout the Peace Country. Despite operating with limited resources and staff, we have directly served over 1,000 seniors, of which we currently house 150. We are on track to double that number by 2026, with our goal of contributing to the fight against the housing crisis affecting the province, specifically senior housing as per our mission. Our outreach also extends to more than 20,000 indirect beneficiaries, many of whom are family caregivers carrying the significant weight of supporting their loved ones with limited external assistance from health authorities, senior-friendly spaces, and programs. In this remote region, seniors often face deep isolation, particularly during the harsh six-month winters. By addressing this isolation and supporting caregivers, we not only improve the quality of life for seniors but also foster stronger, more resilient communities. Our work reflects a deep commitment to inclusivity and equity, ensuring that seniors from all walks of life have access to the services and support they need to thrive.
