Who We Are
Canada SCORES Vancouver - A Charitable Society is an independent registered charity in British Columbia, Canada and an affiliate of America SCORES.
The SCORES model was developed more than 20 years ago to deliver success stories for youth in the America SCORES program across the US. It has a proven track record in helping to improve youth's health, academic achievement and engagement in their communities. In January 2014, Canada SCORES Vancouver began providing complimentary after-school programming for vulnerable students in elementary schools in the lower mainland. Our program is designed to be delivered five days per week and combines Soccer, Poetry (reading/writing) and community service as well as on-going mentoring relationships with students.
What We Do
In communities throughout the Lower Mainland, children face a range of issues that may prevent them from achieving their goals. These are outlined below.
- Poverty
- Health
- Literarcy
- Crime
We aim to provide positive support for these children to help them tackle these issues and help them reach their full potential.
