 BIO/BACKGROUND

Sydney brings over 14 years of experience in the fields of volunteer administration, training facilitation,  information & referral, and program planning and management. In 2022, Sydney joined The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) as the Regional Volunteer Engagement Coordinator of Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Sydney works closely with locations in the region to elevate the volunteer programs and enhance the experience of volunteers.   
 
Prior to her current role, Sydney was the the Manager of Volunteer Centre and Information & Referral Services at Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (RCRG), where she supported volunteer programs of different sizes and types.
 
Sydney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia.  She is certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) and a certified Community Resource Specialist.
