Welcome to UWBC's Hi Neighbour Volunteer Orientation event! If you live in the Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley, join us online on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 6:30 PM (PDT) for an engaging session designed to introduce you to our volunteer program and the iVolunteer platform.

- Introduction to UWBC and Hi Neighbour:
- Learn about our mission and impact, hear about Hi Neighbour's Local Love microgrant and how it strengthens communities.
- Volunteer stories:
- Be inspired by stories from current volunteers and Hi Neighbour staff showcasing the transformative power of volunteerism in building strong, inclusive, and caring communities.
- Navigating iVolunteer:
- Get a walkthrough our volunteer platform to find opportunities that match your skills and interests.
- Interactive Q & A:
- Have your questions about volunteering with us answered in real-time by experienced staff.

Anyone in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley interested in making a positive impact through volunteering. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to giving back, this orientation is for you!
How to register?
Space is limited so sign up today to reserve your spot! Simply select the "YES" option at the top right-hand corner of your screen to secure your spot.
Prepare for the Event:
- A few days before the event, you'll receive an email with a link to join the online orientation. Please check your inbox and spam folder to ensure you have the link.
- Please sign up on the iVolunteer platform prior to the event if you haven't already done so. This will allow you to start exploring volunteer opportunities right away!
- Think about any questions you may have about volunteering with us. This is a great way to get them answered by our team!
- To ensure a smooth experience during the orientation, we recommend checking your internet connection and audio-visual set up. This will help you to participate fully in the session.
