Volunteer: Care to Speak Volunteer (remote)

Care to Speak is a mental health peer support line for those working in healthcare or social services in BC. It is free, confidential and not associated with any union. Volunteers must be in BC, MUST have work experience in social services or healthcare. The volunteer can work from anywhere in BC as the position is entirely remote. Shifts are Monday -Friday 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm APPLY AT caretospeak.ca

The Crisis Line is a 24-7 phone support and referral service. Professionally trained Crisis Line Responder Volunteers provide up-to-date information and referrals including connections with Mental Health Emergency Services. Calls are confidential, non-judgmental and provide emotional support, effective crisis de-escalation and skilled assessments and intervention. Callers receive an empathetic ear from someone who has the time to hear their story and has the tools and resources to find the help they need; this is a unique, empowering service.
