Volunteer: Volunteer DriverPROGRAM NAME: Community Van POSITION TITLE: Volunteer Driver AVAILIBILITY: Must be available 1 day/week between 7:30am-3:00pm LOCATION: 2420 Montrose Avenue REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator Important Note: All client bookings MUST be done through the Transportation Coordinator. If a client calls a volunteer driver for a ride, it is the driver's responsibility to inform us of the ride request. POSITION SUMMARYThe Volunteer Driver for the Community Van Service plays a crucial role in ensuring individuals and families without transportation can attend essential appointments and community activities within Abbotsford. This role requires reliable and responsible driving, adhering to safety protocols, and providing compassionate assistance to passengers. Volunteer Drivers must maintain effective communication with the Program Coordinator and ensure the program vehicle is sanitized and ready for use. This position is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to community service, and the ability to adapt to varying schedules and needs.
