South Vancouver Family Place is a charitable organization whose objective is to prevent, reduce, and relieve family stress resulting from poverty, abuse, violence, single parenthood, and social isolation due to language and cultural barriers. Our mission is to support families with young children in building healthy relationships and community networks, by providing services and programs in a welcoming, nurturing, and respectful environment.

  South Vancouver Family Place is seeking volunteers for basic, general tasks around the organization. We are in need of help with the overall upkeep of family and the preschool, inside out. Tasks include yard work, landscaping, power washing entrance, deck, back door, windows, the lawn, leaves, trees, maintenance, and more.    Schedules are ongoing and flexible.

Volunteer: Delivery Drivers Needed! Multiple Shifts Available (South Vancouver Family Place))

Can you help deliver hampers from South Vancouver Family Pace to community members?

You'll pick up  5-6 hampers and deliver them to several neighbors in the River District area. You'll receive the delivery addresses when you've signed up for a shift.

Details:

Pick-up location: South Vancouver Family Place (7710 Nanaimo St, Vancouver, BC V5P 4Y2)

Pick up time: Mondays, 1:30 pm

Contact: Isabella Guo (isabellaguo.svfp@gmail.com)  Isabella will provide you with the delivery addresses.

Time Commitment: 2.5 hours. This is a recurring commitment to fulfill and immediate needs. You may sign up for one shift or multiple shifts.

For this volunteer opportunity, you must:   be 18 years or older have a valid BC driver's license
own or have access to a car be able to lift weights in excess of 15lbs.

 

Your health and safety are important to us.  

Maintain physical distancing by keeping a minimum 2-meter distance between you and any other person not in your immediate family.  

Practice good hand hygiene by washing your hands thoroughly and often. Wash hands with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds and rinse under clean running water.
