Volunteer: Thrift Store Volunteer

Role: Thrift Store Volunteer

As a volunteer, you'll support day-to-day operations and help create a positive, respectful experience for everyone in our store. Tasks include:

Optional: Interested in cashiering? We offer cashier training for volunteers who are comfortable with processing payments. Only trained volunteers will be assigned to the till.

Please note that not all of these shifts are currently available. 

Minimum of 6 months or 100 total volunteer hours

Location:

Minimum Age to Volunteer: 15 years old

Are you between 15–24? You may also be eligible for our Thrift & Thrive youth internship program! This program offers extra leadership workshops, mentorship, and a certificate of completion. Learn more here.

Friendly, respectful, and reliable individuals

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable engaging with diverse community members

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Able to focus for at least 30 minutes at a time

Able to follow verbal instructions

Able to volunteer in a retail store environment with minimal to medium one-on-one support

Able to engage safely and respectfully with customers, staff, and peers

Have a desire to give back and make a difference

Constant one-one-one support is needed to volunteer
