Opportunities From: iVolunteer Powered by United Way British Columbia

Volunteer: Screener

Screeners are often the first point of contact that clients will have at the Food Bank and are therefore essential in ensuring a positive experience.

Clients will call between 10am - 12pm to book a shopping appointment for their hampers the same afternoon. Screeners will answer these calls, manage the appointment schedule for that day, check client information, register new clients, and record data into our online reporting system. In the morning, screeners will also receive and put away food deliveries if there is time.

Our number one priority is to foster a safe and welcoming space free of stigma for all our clients. Kindness, positivity, and friendly people skills are a must, so if this sounds like you, we'd love to have you as a volunteer.

If you'd like to help us provide food support to the Kimberley community, please get in touch!
