Volunteer: Foodbank Delivery Driver for SeniorsAre you interested in connecting with isolated seniors? We are looking for reliable individuals who are patient, compassionate and interested in connecting with isolated seniors at home. We ask for a 2 hour commitment weekly for a minimum of 3 months Time Commitment We ask for a 2 hour commitment weekly for a minimum of 3 months Description Volunteers will help pack and deliver foodbank groceries from BNH Community Hall (5024 Rumble St) and deliver to seniors at home who are unable to pick-up groceries on their own Drive to the seniors’ home and drop off groceries at their door – may include some brief socializing with seniors Must be friendly, reliable and patient, enjoy driving, enjoy helping people Skills, Experience, Qualifications Required Additional information: All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application process with the Burnaby Neighbourhood House. This includes a volunteer application form, informal interview (10 mins), completing an online volunteer orientation (22 mins.), and policy form.
