We're looking for 4-6 volunteers in Fridays to help organize food packages for our clients!
Every Friday we pick up from the Food Bank to deliver to the Neighbourhood House. The van needs to be unloaded and the food sorted and assembled into 40-45 bags that will be delivered later in the day.
How this works:
Arrive at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House at 9am for a temperature check and briefing of the tasks you'll be assigned. You'll be provided with disposable masks and gloves. Hand sanitizer will be available on site.
Sorting area set up (9:10am):
Set up the sorting area for assembling food packages (requires lifting and setting up tables)
Unload the van (10am):
Help unload food boxes and packages from the delivery van and bring them to the sorting area (requires lifting items weighing between 5-10kg)
Prepare food packages (11am):
Assemble packages for delivery.
