We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to help during our Soil Day at the new community garden initiative: The Learning Garden at Riley Park Garden.
The Learning Garden centers place-based education through an Indigenous lens, for all ages and mobility needs. You will be contributing towards building a space where community members like you can co-create, connect, and garden. We will be moving soil (donated by SuperSoil Inc.) to the borders of the garden and into new planter boxes.

Role of the Volunteer
- Move soil from the large pile into wheelbarrows
- Transport soil to planter boxes or garden borders
- Spread soil evenly in planter boxes and along borders
- Smooth and level the soil
Volunteers should be comfortable with manual work and able to lift heavy items during the shift.
