One volunteer is needed to support and translate for children in our playroom while our workshop Facilitator for Kids Have Stress Too! shares information to their Ukrainian parents in a nearby room. The workshop is aimed at supporting and educating parents on how to best assist their children who are experiencing stress and anxiety during this difficult time in their lives. The volunteer will be supporting the Child Minder responsible for the children by translating children's questions & responses to/from the Child Minder.
We require one volunteer who is fluent in Ukrainian and English. Preferably you would have experience with young children and enjoy play time!
The WFC Child Minder will communicate in English. The volunteer is needed to translate English to Ukrainian verbally during play time. The volunteer will then need to translate the responses and or questions from the children from Ukrainian to English.
The workshop is held on November 10th from 5:00-8:00 at our Tri-Cities location. Food will be provided for the participants, the staff and the volunteer.
