If you are talented with cutting and/or styling hair, we’d love your help!
We are a local nonprofit organization that is hosting a free event for seniors to feel safe in a post-covid world. We will be pampering seniors with self-care, including free haircuts from 5 pm to 6 pm.
Afterward, you are welcome to stay for the live music and food from 6 to 9 pm.
You can also volunteer as a host after your shift, or just enjoy the entertainment and socialize!

During this unsettling time, reconnecting with others after lockdown is important, especially for older people.
Pandemic Isolation can be especially hard on older adults as they’ve been encouraged to be extra careful because they’re at greater risk.
Many seniors already deal with isolation, and we’ve seen it worsen during the pandemic.
Given that loneliness and isolation are linked to anxiety and depression, now that we’re allowed to socialize more and reconnect with others again, it’s important to do so.
The Seniors Social event will help older adults prepare for life post-covid.
We'll have games, snacks, and live music!
Drinks will also be available for purchase.
Seniors can arrive early for a free haircut/style between 5 pm and 6 pm.
Six o'clock is the start of the music and games.
Adjusting to a pandemic life took a bit of time. Adjusting to post-pandemic life will also take a bit of time, but with some patience and persistence, our minds and bodies will remember and adapt.
