Join our Friendly Visiting volunteer team at the Sea to Sky Better at Home Program!
Do you enjoy the company of seniors? Do you have good listening and communication skills? Are you patient, respectful, and understanding? Do you have a couple of hours a month to share with a senior? If so, help us build an inclusive and supportive community through one-to-one friendly visits with seniors.
We need volunteers in Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton.
About This Role
We will match you with a senior and you’ll meet them at their home to provide companionship and connection once or twice a month. This could include activities such as walking in the neighbourhood, having coffee or tea, playing cards or a game or reading with them.
The volunteer role would be a good fit for those with some free time during daytime hours and who enjoy spending quality time with others. This volunteer role would suit seniors who are interested in supporting other seniors, adults, and students who want experience working with seniors. We are looking for volunteers who can spend 2-3 hours a month.
