SK8 Jam is a community event that empowers and inspires skaters, from beginners to pros! Sign up for a volunteer shift today, and bring your skateboard or scooter to join in the fun before or after your shift!
About the Role:
As a SK8 Jam volunteer, you'll be at the heart of the action, helping us create unforgettable skateboarding experiences. You'll help with event setup, registration, crowd control, arts & crafts activities, and you'll ensure the safety and smooth flow of our overall event.
This opportunity is perfect for skateboarding enthusiasts of all ages, those looking to gain experience in event management, families and friends wanting to volunteer together, and high school students needing community service hours for school.
Morning shift: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (8 volunteers)
Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift to check in with your volunteer lead and receive your t-shirt. Pizza and beverages will be available for lunch before your shift.
- Pre-event set up: assemble tents, set up registration table, food & activity tables, put up signage
- Welcome and assist participants during registration
- Keep the energy high by engaging with crowds during activities
- Help keep the food distribution tables clean and keep the lines moving
- Make sure everyone is having a great time while being safe

Afternoon shift: 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (8 volunteers)
Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift to check in with your volunteer lead and receive your t-shirt.
