**This is a remote volunteer position.

Are you an individual interested in volunteering online and gaining experience in marketing in an innovative environment? We are actively seeking a Volunteer Marketing Coordinator who can assist us with managing the marketing team. Time Commitment is 2-4 hours weekly. 

STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC) is a regional STEM program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program l educates students from preschool to high school. 

SMAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of marketing teams’ tasks scheduling and productivity
  • Create and execute marketing plans across the entire organization
  • Ensure that promotional messaging and products are well designed
  • Working with advertising agencies, being involved in negotiations
  • Reviewing advertising material such as print material, TV commercials, and online advertisements
  • Understanding the various programs run by STEM to operate successfully and providing support to the marketing team as well as the team leads as required
  • Ability to coordinate marketing activities across all social media platforms including Linkedin, Youtube channel, Facebook, and Twitter

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience managing a marketing team
  • Highly focused, detail-oriented, and very conscientious of meeting project restraints and timelines
  • Highly collaborative style; experience developing and marketing team
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious personality and enjoys developing and implementing new marketing strategies
  • Ability to work independently and multitask projects
