We need volunteers to help us at our family-friend fall event to celebrate our Dominican culture. Come be a part of this amazing event and share in our culture, dance and music!
The event takes place on Oct 22 at St Francis de Sales School in Edmonds. Volunteers should arrive at 12 pm and plan to stay until 5 pm.
Volunteers greeters are needed to greet, register and hand out identification bracelets to guests at the entrance to the event venue. Volunteers will be responsible for ensuring the registration line moves efficiently. The registration desk will be open from 1 pm - 3 pm.
Requirements for this role include:
- Be friendly as you welcome guests to the event!
- Willingness to work as a team to make sure that only registered guests are granted entry to the venue
- Handing out guest identification bracelets as guests enter the event venue
- Able to keep the line moving efficiently
Time commitment: 12 pm - 5pm
All volunteers will arrive at 12 pm to help set up before the event and help clean up after the event at 4 pm. We anticipate clean-up will be done in under an hour.
When you arrive, please check in with Doris. A buffet lunch will be provided for volunteers before the event doors open.
We encourage volunteers to participate in the celebrations and experience Dominican culture!

Orientation:
Volunteers will be invited to attend an online orientation at 7pm on Thursday, Oct 20 to review roles, tasks and responsibilities. The link to the orientation session will be emailed before Oct 20.

Arrival:
Please arrive at 12 pm and check-in with Doris for your volunteer identification, and to familiarize yourself with the venue.
Food:
A hot lunch and beverage will be provided. Please pack extra snacks and water, if you require them to sustain you during the day.
Health & Safety:
While masks are no longer mandatory, we are respectful that people have different comfort levels in enclosed event venues. Masks will be available along with hand sanitizers and disposable gloves.
Volunteers should not attend if they feel sick or test positive for COVID. Please contact Doris if you feel sick on the day of the event.
We understand that life happens - if you need to cancel your shift, please contact Doris two days before the event to give us time to find a replacement volunteer to take your shift.
