We need volunteers to help us at our family-friend holiday event to celebrate winter festivities. Come be a part of this amazing event and share in our culture, dance and music!
The event takes place on Dec 17 at St Francis de Sales School in Edmonds.
Shifts and Time Commitment:
SHIFT 1:
- Two volunteers
- The shift runs from 11 am - 2:30 pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins
- Volunteers will help to set up and decorate Santa's booth
SHIFT 2:
- Two volunteers
- The shift runs from 2:30 pm - 6 pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins
- Volunteers will help take down decorations and tear down Santa's booth
Responsibilities:
Volunteer activity monitors will help keep an eye on the lineup to see Santa and keep the activity area clean. Volunteers will not be interacting with children but will ensure that the lineup moves in an orderly manner and the area is kept tidy.
Requirements for this role include:
- Be friendly and patient with children!
- Willingness to work as a team to ensure the activity stations are kept clean, safe and organized.
When you arrive, please check in with Doris. A buffet lunch will be provided for volunteers before the event doors open.
We encourage volunteers to volunteers to stay after their shift or arrive early to enjoy the festivities.

Orientation:
Volunteers will be invited to attend an online orientation at 7pm on Thursday, Dec 15 to review roles, tasks and responsibilities. The link to the orientation session will be emailed before Dec 15.
Important things you need to know:
Arrival:
Please arrive at 15 min before your shift and check-in with Doris for your volunteer identification, and to familiarize yourself with the venue.
Food:
A hot lunch and beverage will be provided. Please pack extra snacks and water, if you require them to sustain you during the day.
Health & Safety:
While masks are no longer mandatory, we are respectful that people have different comfort levels in enclosed event venues. Masks will be available along with hand sanitizers and disposable gloves.
Volunteers should not attend if they feel sick or test positive for COVID. Please contact Doris if you feel sick on the day of the event.
We understand that life happens - if you need to cancel your shift, please get in touch with Doris two days before the event to give us time to find a replacement volunteer to take your shift.
