Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver meals to isolated seniors in our community by car or by bike. In addition to a hot meal, volunteers provide a friendly chat and an informal safety check on our clients. Typically, our volunteers commit to volunteering once per week, however, we are willing to work around how much time you have to give.
We provide orientation, support and mileage reimbursement for drivers. We would love you to join our team!
Volunteer Positions available:
Meal Delivery Route Driver
Route drivers pick up meals from a depot then deliver hot meals directly to clients, providing a friendly visit and informal check on their safety.
Shifts: Flexible; between 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
Kitchen Meal Courier
Kitchen meal couriers bring the meals in batches to various depots across Vancouver and Richmond; they also return the previous day’s empty meal bags back to the kitchen.
Shifts: Flexible; between 9-11 am Monday to Friday
