Help us bring the warmth and beauty of Colombian culture to the heart of Edmonds!
Join us as a volunteer to celebrate this beautiful Colombian tradition and enjoy an afternoon full of lights, music and culture. The Candles day is a special occasion to light candles, share delicious meals and connect with the Colombian community in Vancouver.
We need enthusiastic volunteers like YOU to make it a radiant success!
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all participants have a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Assist participants in following the candle and lantern-making instructions, ensuring a fun and enriching experience.
- Embrace and share Colombian culture, fostering learning and cultural exchange.
- Assist in setting up and tidying up the space, making it a welcoming place for enjoyment.
Requirements:
- No previous experience is required. We'll provide you with all the instructions and support you need!
- A love for culture.
- A friendly, patient, and engaging demeanour, especially when interacting with children.
- Ability to supervise and ensure safety standards are met.
- A commitment to attend a brief orientation session one week before the event.
Orientation:
Volunteers will be invited to attend a brief but essential orientation session via Zoom at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 1.
