UGM is excited to host our Annual Summer Connect Event, which will happen on Wednesday, June 11th, from 10am to 3pm.
Summer Connect is an incredible event where we have the chance to connect community members to a variety of relevant service providers all gathered in temporary booths in and around our 601 E Hastings location, in Vancouver’s DTES. From free haircuts to legal advocacy, this unique ‘one stop shop’ event creates opportunities for ongoing support and collaboration.
Volunteers will help UGM staff in multiple roles, which may include food service (preparing and serving meals), community support (guides and interpreters for community members), and janitorial support. Roles will be assigned closer to the date of the event.
