Handbell Instructor

Description
Join our team at Tonari Gumi – Japanese Community Volunteers Association and bring the joy of music to our senior community! We are looking for a volunteer Handbell Instructor to lead a fun and engaging activity for seniors.

Volunteers in this role will:

Lead a handbell session for seniors (beginner-friendly)
Prepare simple songs or exercises suitable for group participation
Create a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere
Encourage participation and support seniors with different skill levels

We are looking for volunteers who:

Have experience with handbells or general music knowledge (preferred, not required)
Enjoy working with seniors in a group setting
Are patient, friendly, and encouraging
Can commit to a regular schedule (weekday daytime preferred)
Japanese-speaking volunteers are especially welcome, but not required
