The Lillooet Learning Communities Society (Lillooet Learns) as the host organization of the Community Connect Innovation HUB and associated programs, has developed a baseline program that supports elders in the Lillooet Area by connecting them to each other and key services.
This program supports seniors with simple, day to day tasks that allow them to live independently and remain connected to their communities.
What You Will Help With:
- Light cleaning and tidying of homes as described below:
- Vacuuming
- Dusting
- Sweeping
- Surface cleaning of floors, kitchen, and bathrooms
- Cleaning and organizing the fridge
- Emptying the garbage/recycling/compost
- Emptying the dishwasher/ dish rack
- Making the bed with fresh clean bedding
- Visiting and chatting with clients
Other Helpful Info:
- No education or experience required
- Must be able to carry out the cleaning tasks with ease and be friendly with clients
- Training is provided
- Select shifts that meet your availability but best if during daytime hours
- Volunteer honorariums are available
