The Lillooet Learning Communities Society (Lillooet Learns), based in Lillooet, BC, is the host of the Community Connect HUB and its associated programs. Located on Main Street, the HUB storefront supports local economic development by providing artisans, crafters, food producers, and farmers with a space to showcase and sell their work. It also serves as a welcoming community hub where local groups gather for workshops, events, and conversations focused on shared goals for the region.
This position is for someone who loves speaking to people, promoting local events and products and who is outgoing.
What You Will Help With:
You will have shifts in the HUB store and interact with community members during open hours.
This involves:
- Greeting and telling community members and tourists about upcoming events
- Selling the products in the store and ringing items through the sales system
- Giving out paperwork and inviting people to become members
- Cleaning and tidying the area
- Assisting with event setup and attending events if interested
- Calling store vendors and renewing membership as required
