Looking for a way to connect with your community, gain experience, and make someone's day? Join us as a Volunteer Driver with the Westshore Better At Home Porgram, and experince the joy of giving back.
What will you be doing?
- Transportation to and from medical appointments (you will not attend the appointments with them.)
- Transportation to and from social meal events
- Pick- up groceries
- Pick- up and delivery of weekly meals (typically every Wednesday in the afternoon, unless it is a Statutory holiday.
We'll support you with all the orientation and guidance you need, you just bring:
- A willing heart and a desire to support local seniors
- Your own relliable, fully insured vehicle and a valid BC Drivers licence
- Some availablity during the day on weekdays or occational Saturdays
- Openness to provide basic documents such as a resume, references, driver's abstract and a Criminal Record check
Don't worry, we will walk you though everything and reimbuse mileage too!
