Can you help an immunocompromised neighbour stay healthy by going for a walk around his neighbourhood in East Vancouver?
A volunteer is needed to accompany an isolated neighbour who is facing a medical condition. He is in need of a volunteer walking companion to go on a walk (masked and distanced) in the neighbourhood.

How this works:
Once you've responded to this opportunity, we'll email the contact information to you. This is meant to be a friendly check-in walk with light, cheerful conversation.
Time Commitment: 30-45 minutes.
This is a one-time commitment with recurring shifts available. If you can sign up for multiple shifts, please do!
Additional Information:
- Volunteers will not be needed for rainy days.
- The neighbour will be walking slowly due to his condition and taking occasional rests during the walk.
- Volunteers are required to wear masks and follow physical distancing protocol (maintain 2 metres apart from neighbour).
Your health and safety are important to us.
While volunteering, please maintain a minimum 2-meter distance between you and any other person not in your immediate family. Where physical distancing is not possible, it is advisable for all parties to wear face masks.
Practice good hand hygiene by washing your hands thoroughly and often. Wash hands with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds and rinse under clean running water. When hand-washing is not possible, it is advisable to use hand sanitizer.
