Can You Drive Food Cooler Bags from United Way of the Lower Mainland (Burnaby Office) to Burnaby Neighbourhood house?
We are seeking a volunteer with a vehicle to drive 5 lightweight boxes of empty food cooler bags to Burnaby Neighbourhood House. These bags will be used for their food hamper program.
This task will take approximately 45 minutes.
Once you have responded to this need, you will be given contact information! Please help if you can!
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR VOLUNTEERS: Please contact mayag@uwlm.ca and info@ivolunteer.ca immediately if:
- you feel unwell before or on the day of your shift. Please stay home and do not volunteer.
- you are unable to fulfill your shift commitment. If possible, please try to provide a minimum notice of two days to allow us to make alternate arrangements or find another volunteer.
REMINDER: It’s important to unregister yourself from the shift if you’re unable to fulfill your commitment – this will allow another volunteer to register for your spot.
Your health and safety are important to us.
Maintain physical distancing by keeping a minimum 2-meter distance between you and any other person not in your immediate family. Where social distancing is not possible, it is advisable for all parties to wear face masks.
Practice good hand hygiene by washing your hands thoroughly and often. Wash hands with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds and rinse under clean running water.
