Join us for a family-friendly series of exciting pop-up events in Sunset Plaza this summer! Our Pop-Up Wednesday events connect neighbours and celebrate Sunset's diverse and vibrant community spirit.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make these events a success. These events are perfect for people who enjoy social interactions and have a love for art, food, music and other cultural activities. Whether you're looking to gain experience in event management, meet new people or simply give back to your community, our pop-up events offer a fulfilling volunteer opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds. Join us in creating memorable, meaningful experiences for everyone in Sunset!

JULY 17: ART & PAINTING DAY (2 volunteers)
This event will allow community members of all ages to express themselves through paint and other art mediums.

Set up art stations, organize supplies, and assist participants.

JULY 31: COFFEE WITH NEIGHBOUR DAY (2 volunteers)
This pop-up event is about building connections and creating a sense of community in Sunset.
Key volunteer responsibilities:
Set up coffee stations, welcome attendees, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and join the conversation.

Samosa Day is a delicious way to learn about this delightful Indian snack.

Our World Music & Games pop-up event celebrates Sunset's vibrant diversity. It will feature music from around the globe and various cultural games.

Safety tips for volunteering outdoors in the summer:
- Stay hydrated! Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated
- Wear sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun
- Dress in light, breathable clothing and wear comfortable shoes
- Take regular breaks in shaded areas to avoid overheating
