About this event
Hi Neighbour Cedar Valley is hosting a family-friendly Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30, at Griner Park in Cedar Valley. We're expecting over 600 kids, and we need all the help we can get! We're looking for volunteers who can help us create a little magic and make this event a success! Please see below for details of volunteer related tasks.

Here's how you'll help:
There are two shifts available. Sign-up for one shift or stay for the whole event and sign up for both shifts!
Please arrive a few minutes before your shift and meet Elizabeth at the red United Way tent at Griner along Cherry Avenue (at the bottom of the hill and to the left from the car park)
Team 1: Event set up and support (8:30 AM - 11:30 AM / 12 volunteers)
Related tasks:
- Volunteers will help set up tents, tables, and stations for crafts and games. Please be aware there will be some lifting and moving of items.
- Volunteers will hand out candies and goodie bags to children accompanied by their parents.
- Volunteers will oversee games and keep the stations organized and clear of debris.
- Some volunteers will provide support as parking attendants.
- Volunteers will not supervise children.
Team 2: Event support and take down (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM / 12 volunteers)
Related tasks:
- Volunteers will hand out candies and goodie bags to children accompanied by their parents.
- Volunteers will oversee games and keep the stations organized and clear of debris.
- Volunteers will not supervise children.
- Some volunteers will help disassemble tents, tables, and stations for crafts and games. Please be aware there will be some lifting and moving of items.
- Some volunteers will provide support as attendants in our parking areas.
Other important information:
- An orientation will be provided to all volunteers at the start of their shift.
- This is an outdoor activity - please dress for the weather. The event will carry on as planned in light drizzle, but if the weather is stormy, we will cancel the event. Volunteers will be notified by email if the event is cancelled.
- Please wear comfortable, close-toed shoes, as you will be required to stand for extended periods of time.
- There will be no place to store personal belongings - please only bring what you can carry with you.
- Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled volunteer shift
- Snacks and refreshments will be provided to volunteers.
- Families are welcome to volunteer together.
Registration:
- Sign-up through iVolunteer is required.
- Volunteers must read and sign the volunteer waiver in iVolunteer.
- Volunteers who have not registered through iVolunteer will not be permitted to volunteer.
- Teams/Organizations are welcome to register to facilitate a game/activity for children.

If you are unwell on the day of the event, please contact Elizabeth. Please stay home and do not volunteer.
