About the Role:

Join us in making a difference, one meal at a time! As a Volunteer Community Cupboard Steward, dedicating your time and energy will play a crucial role in ensuring that our food pantry is well-maintained, organized, and stocked, providing essential sustenance to those in need within our community.

If you're driven by compassion, organized, and eager to give back to the community, we invite you to become a Volunteer Community Cupboard Steward. Your dedication will ensure our pantry remains a beacon of hope and sustenance for those in need. 

Time: Check in on the cupboard one day a week.

Responsibilities:

Stocking & Organization:

  • Ensure food items are sorted by type and expiration date.
  • Restock shelves as donations come in, ensuring that the oldest items are used first.
  • Assist with receiving food deliveries and donations, ensuring they are properly stored.

Maintenance & Cleanliness:

  • Regularly inspect and clean pantry shelves for a sanitary environment.
  • Dispose of expired or damaged items in accordance with safety guidelines.

What you bring: 

  • A compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals from all walks of life.
  • Ability to lift boxes and bags up to 10 pounds.
