As a Social Media Volunteer, you help amplify the work of Four Paws Food Bank Foundation and connect with the people and pets we support. Your contributions help raise awareness, engage our community, and strengthen our online presence so we can reach more families in need. Through your efforts, you directly support our mission of keeping pets and people together during times of crisis.

A Position Title Volunteer’s main tasks are:Work with the Executive Director to create graphics and content for Instagram and FacebookAssist in developing a posting scheduleHelp maintain a consistent and engaging social media presenceMonitor and interact with our online community respectfullySupport overall communication efforts to raise awareness about the organization

Preparation and experience required:
Before taking on this role we ask that you become familiar with our Facebook Page and our organization’s general tone. You will be communicating with a diverse audience, including clients, donors, and community partners, so respectful and clear communication is essential. A website in development but currently rely entirely on our social media exclusively.

Time commitment:
We ask for a commitment of a minimum of 3 hours per month, for at least six months.

As a Pet Food Bank Volunteer, you play a key role in helping families and their pets stay together through difficult times. Your compassion and support create a welcoming space where people feel seen and cared for. In this role, you make a direct difference in keeping companion animals with the people who love them.

Pet Food Bank Volunteers’ main tasks are:
Work with a small team to set up the Tuesday evening food bank. Pick up supplies from storage and transport them to the food bank. Set up the food bank in a consistent manner as shown in training. Welcome clients, assist with sign-in, and provide food, pet supplies, and other items based on need. Record all distributed pet food and supplies on the Food Bank log. Assist new clients with registration forms as needed. Provide friendly, respectful service while supporting clients’ individual needs. Help maintain tidy and organized storage areas. Pack up and put everything away once the food bank closes. Engage in Facebook Group for setting up Rosters / provide availability by email or text

Training and experience:
All potential volunteers are asked to schedule one shift to see if the role is a good fit. Once confirmed, volunteers receive more on-site training. No prior experience is required, though familiarity with pets and compassion for families in crisis is beneficial.

Some volunteers help pick up supplies/do deliveries, so drivers license is a huge benefit, but not required! There is still plenty to help with if you do not drive.

Time commitment
We ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of three hours per month for six months.

An Event Planning Volunteer helps make our fundraising initiatives possible by bringing creativity, energy, and organization to our small team. Volunteers play a key role in shaping events that support our mission, engaging the community, and helping us raise resources to keep pets and their families together.

An Events and Fundraising Volunteer’s main tasks are to participate in:Brainstorm ideas for fundraising events and online campaignsHelp plan and prepare for events, including creating social media posts and promotionsAssist with setting up and taking down event spaces, tents, and displaysSupport the delivery of events, making sure everything runs smoothlyHelp design and run virtual or online fundraising events

We will provide training to introduce to you the organization, our volunteers, and to describe current event set up and supplies.

Time commitment:
We ask for a commitment of a minimum of 3 hours per month, for at least six months.
