We are a newly established NPO that educates seniors on fraud prevention techniques through seminars hosted at community centres, retirement homes, libraries, etc. This position requires you to be constantly reaching out to new venues and offering our services. We are seeking volunteers who will be responsible for reaching out to organizations to request donations, which helps to secure financial support that drives our mission to improve the quality of life for seniors. Additionally, Fundraising Coordinators create informative presentations that highlight the GSC Foundation’s impact with an emphasis on the benefits of donating and fostering interest among potential sponsors. Moreover, this role involves organizing and hosting fundraising events. Through these efforts, Fundraising Coordinators play a crucial role in ensuring our programs and initiatives continue to thrive and make a meaningful difference for seniors in our community.

We are seeking volunteers whose main responsibilities include actively finding events for the GSC Foundation to attend and network along with reaching out to other charities to establish relationships and potential collaborations. Moreover, Public Relations Coordinators would work to connect with large companies to potentially obtain sponsorships and support through funds or applicable resources.

We are seeking individuals whose main responsibility is finding grants that the Gal Senior Care Foundation is eligible for and then writing grant proposals. This also involves researching the grants to understand their purpose, what they want, and how we can fit with their goals. Occasionally, you'll email and schedule meetings with the people offering the grants to ask questions and get more information.

We are currently seeking volunteers to help us deliver educational presentations to various senior communities in the Lower Mainland. As an educational speaker, you will play a crucial role in:

Educating seniors about the dangers of financial fraud and providing tips on how to recognize and avoid scams.

Engaging with seniors and answering their questions to ensure they feel supported and informed

*No prior presenting experience required! Training and preparatory materials provided!

We are seeking individuals to help us with creating content for our organization's various social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook) in an effort to increase awareness in the community. The role would consist of posting weekly on all platforms and creating posts to engage viewers. Moreover, you would be provided with photos & videos from our weekly seminars to create posts on our social media accounts.

*Note: The vast majority of the workload will be from home.

We are in search of a volunteer who is proficient in WordPress and redesigning websites. This individual would be required to make updates to the website as needed. Examples include; changing the layout, and colour scheme, adding media from events, and adding written blog posts. etc.
