Volunteer: Dog Care Support Volunteer

You can help keep love in the home by helping a senior care for their dog!

Elderdog Canada (North & West Vancouver) is looking for volunteers across the North Shore who can offer a couple of hours each week to help out a senior with activities like dog walks, assistance getting a dog to and from veterinary or grooming appointments, or related dog care needs.

We know the health and well-being of seniors is enhanced by maintaining a loving relationshihp with their cherished canine companions, even though they may have difficulty caring for them due to health and mobility challenges.

Our wonderful volunteers love dogs and love helping seniors, and our senior clients and their dogs are so grateful for our support.

Please join us!

Volunteer: Foster Dog Care Volunteer

Can you open your home to a dog in need?

Elderdog Canada (North & West Vancouver) is looking for volunteers who can provide short-term foster care for dogs in need when their human companions are unable to care for them in the home.

Sometimes our senior clients need help finding short-term housing for their loving dogs when they need to undergo hospitalization, or recover from illness or injury at home.  Or, sometimes a dog is recovering from illness or injury and requires a bit more TLC than the senior is able to provide.

These are stressful situations for seniors who may not have any other support, and our foster volunteers help out by offering their homes for short-term periods (a few days or a few weeks).
