Position Title: Volunteer Treasurer
Organization: Aquafit for All Association (AFA)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Volunteer Treasurer to support our financial operations. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive recreation and community health. The Treasurer will oversee bookkeeping, financial tracking, and compliance for a registered nonprofit organization supporting adapted aquatic programs.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Students or retirees in relevant fields welcome.

QuickBooks Expertise

Proficient in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).

Experience with chart of accounts setup, payroll, A/P and A/R, budgeting, and reporting.

Nonprofit Accounting Knowledge

Understanding of fund accounting, grant reporting, and CRA T3010 filings.

Familiarity with donor management and contribution tracking is an asset.

Additional Skills

Proficiency in Excel and Word

Strong attention to detail and organizational ability

Good ethical judgment and clear communication

Time Commitment: Approximately 2–5 hours per month.
Location: Remote or hybrid depending on candidate preference.
