About this opportunity:

VRES is seeking Event Assistants for the 2025 Career Days at the University of British Columbia!

UBC Career Days is an annual, two-day career fair that connects employers across various industries with students and alumni. The event takes place on October 8th and 9th, between 11:00 am-3:30pm. This year, VRES has a booth at the fair. We are looking for 2 volunteers to assist with on site event management each day. That is 4 volunteers in total. Develop your leadership and communication skills while helping to run our booth, promote our mission, and connect with UBC students and alumni.

We will supply you with the necessary support prior to your volunteer placement to ensure your success. This includes mentorship, training, and workshop resources. Participation in training sessions counts towards your volunteer hours with VRES.

The Event Assistant role is an in-person volunteer opportunity. 

Qualifications:

We welcome new or returning volunteers across varying levels of experience! Volunteers are required to be:

Located in Vancouver or the Greater Vancouver Area

Between ages 12-30

Interested in education, health, environment, and/or digital services

Friendly, respectful, and active when engaging with UBC students and alumni
