Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy individual to serve as the Website and Platform Manager at The Vancouver Helpers. This role will focus on adding tutors to our platform, maintaining and updating our website, and optimizing our search engine presence.

Responsibilities:

Add Tutors to Platform: Ensure that new tutors are added to the platform each week, maintaining an up-to-date roster of qualified and available tutors for students. Website Maintenance and Updates: Regularly update and maintain the website to ensure it is functioning smoothly, including adding new content and making necessary technical improvements. SEO and Organic Search Optimization: Manage and optimize the website's SEO to ensure it ranks well in search engines, increasing organic traffic and improving visibility.

Role Requirements:

Experience in website management, including content updates and maintenance. Strong knowledge of SEO practices and experience optimizing website performance is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Position Type: Virtual. This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of 2 hours per week. All work is conducted remotely.

Donor Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors. Identify prospective donors, reach out to them, and ensure they are engaged and motivated to support The Vancouver Helpers. Fundraising Events: Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events to generate revenue. Work with the executive team to create event strategies, secure sponsors, and coordinate logistics. Grant Applications: Research, identify, and apply for relevant grants that align with The Vancouver Helpers' mission. Ensure all grant applications are completed on time. Financial Tracking: Track and manage the chapter's spending and fundraising income. Ensure proper budgeting and reporting of all funds. Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director and other team members to ensure fundraising goals are aligned with the organization's overall mission.

Willingness to learn fundraising and donor relation skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to engage and inspire potential donors.
