Who We Are
The Maundy is Christ Church Cathedral’s coordinated attempt to harness the power of good food to build health, belonging, and reconciliation in communities affected by systems that perpetuate poverty.
What We Do
Prior to the pandemic, the Cathedral operated the Café as a five day per week sit down meal staffed by 75 volunteers each week. In 2019, the Cafe served 22,754 meals. Since COVID, we have been serving to-go lunches 3 times a week. Additionally, we have a bulk buy market once a month where participants can come and buy fresh items at distributor cost, and we will have free items as well.
In Sept 2021, we launched a new outreach program to serve the Downtown Peninsula.
