Vancouver Short Film Festival

Vancouver Short Film Festival is a volunteer run organization. Each year, our Festival is produced by a team of passionate film-loving organizers who donate countless hours to producing our annual celebration of Canadian short-form works, as well as year-round festival operations. Helm by a staff and board of volunteers who are not compensated or receive any financial gain for their time and services to the festival, they are themselves filmmakers and film lovers who donate their time to showcase and celebrate local talent.

Vancouver Short Film Festival (VSFF) is a celebration of Canada’s vibrant community of short film, documentary, and animation artists. ​ Our goal is to elevate talent from British Columbia and connect BC creators to the greater film industry nationwide. By providing an arena for short filmmakers to showcase their films to the public, we help build ties between emerging filmmakers, established professionals, and their local communities.
