the team of the Embassy of Indigenous Mexico in Canada works to strengthen the bonds of cooperation, understanding, and mutual respect between the Indigenous communities of Mexico and Canada. As diplomatic representatives of the Indigenous peoples of Mexico, our mission is to advance the rights, dignity, and well-being of Indigenous communities on the international stage, in alignment with the principles of social justice, equality, and respect for Mother Earth.
Since its opening, the embassy has successfully established relationships with various Canadian and international organizations that work to defend the rights of Indigenous peoples. Among its initial achievements are:
Official recognition by the Canadian government as a representative of the Indigenous peoples of Mexico.
Establishment of collaboration agreements with Indigenous communities in Canada.
Creation of cultural and educational exchange programs between both countries.
Strengthening the role of Indigenous women in political, social, and economic spheres, promoting their leadership in various sectors.
Implementation of projects for the construction of Indigenous healthcare systems, including clinics and the use of ancestral medicine.
