Better Beginnings Kitten Rescue Society

Kamloops based small-scale volunteer-run organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming kittens in Kamloops and surrounding areas. We rely on community support and donations to help keep our rescue operational.

We are a Kamloops based kitten rescue specializing in rescuing pregnant cats, nursing queens and kittens under 14 weeks old. We are a direct-to-foster organization, our rescues never spend a day in a shelter. We also have a Barn Buddy program which places feral cats with willing and appropriate rural applicants who can provide outdoor residency and access to shelter, food, water and veterinary care when needed. All Barn Buddy cats are fixed, microchipped , at no cost to applicant. Another program we run is Last Litter. We take in a mother cat during her pregnancy and/or while she nurses. We provide full care for mother and kittens until they are weaned. The mama cat is spay at no cost to owner and returned to owner. The kittens remain in the custody of us and will be adopted out when they are socialized and vetted.
