Who We Are

Young Life is a Christian mission, loving teenagers in their world, encouraging them to know Jesus Christ. Young Life is making a difference in the lives of kids around the world, because we are supported by adults who care about kids in their community.

Our organization is backed by a National Board of Directors and a professionally trained staff team across the country.

In local areas, our work is supported by a community-based committee of invested adults who provide valuable assistance. They support our staff and leaders, assist with budgeting and fundraising and develop community and church relationships.

Young Life is a member of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC), ensuring appropriate standards of financial stewardship, public disclosure and organizational integrity.

What We Do

We Go (Contact Work / Relationship Building) - Young Life leaders go into the world of teens, crossing barriers to build bridges of authentic friendship. We enter their world with no expectation of who teens should be, but with every hope for who they can become.

We Gather (Club) - Club is the name of our regular gatherings hosted by Young Life volunteer leaders and staff for their teenage friends. These groups are launched by the relationships they have built through being involved in their daily lives! Club includes music, humour and a talk about faith and Jesus.

We Grow (Campaigners / Discipleship) - We are committed to walking with teens as they explore and grow in their faith. We encourage teens on this path by discussing deep questions, studying the Bible together, inviting them into leadership opportunities and sharing our lives with one another!

We Get Away (Camping) - Camps are a highlight for teens! These opportunities allow them to get away from the pressures of everyday life, have fun with friends and hear the message of God’s love. A unique aspect of our camping program is that teens attend with their leader that they’ve come to know throughout the school year.
