Note on United Way BC Volunteer Waiver

Please complete this qualification as soon as possible so you can apply and sign up for more opportunities. This takes approximately 3 minutes to read and sign. You can find the waiver under "qualifications" on your account, or by clicking here.

Notes on online Criminal Record Check

  • All United Way BC volunteers are subject to a vulnerable sector criminal record check (CRC), which will be matched against your legal name.
  • We ask all volunteers to consider using their full legal name on iVolunteer to keep the verification process smooth.
  • We suggest you complete the CRC application as soon as you've created your profile to allow for processing time.
  • The fastest way to complete the CRC is by doing it online using your BC Services Card.
  • Please visit this FAQ section on Criminal Record Check.

Complete your criminal record check here.

If you are not eligible to complete this online, we are happy to assist you on how to complete it in other ways. Please email us at info@ivolunteer.ca with the subject line CRC Help and one of our team members will connect with you.
