Do you want to make the difference in the lives of families in our community? CityReach Care Society is looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to assist with food pick-ups for the Food For Families program. Food For Families is a free, nutritious foodbank for vulnerable families and seniors in the Greater Vancouver Area. We serve over 1000 households with wholesome and healthy food including fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, proteins and grains.
Overview: Help driver pick up food donations from community partners and deliver them to the warehouse for distribution.
Duties:
Help package, load and unload the truck with food
Use pallet jack under supervision of driver
Wrapping pallets
Recording and keeping track of boxes
Schedule: Shifts on weekdays from roughly 8am – 3pm (can vary)
Attire:
Clean and comfortable clothes
Safety vest, steel toe shoes (provided)
Skills: Can lift boxes up to 50lbs
Training: On-site training during volunteer shift
