Marketing Manager for Perogies for Peace Fundraising Event

We're seeking a passionate and creative Marketing Manager Volunteer to join our team and play a key role in promoting this important event. Perogies for Peace is a fundraising event to raise awareness and funds to support peace efforts in Ukraine. Holy Eucharist Cathedral stands as a beacon of faith and community in the heart of Vancouver. Our Cathedral is a place of worship and gathering, fostering spiritual growth and outreach initiatives within the vibrant Vancouver community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to reach a broad new audience while retaining existing supports

  • Manage the event's online presence

    • managing Facebook accounts

    • crafting engaging posts for project events using visuals and compelling content

    • utilize targeted ads to reach specific demographics interested in community events or charitable causes.

  • Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, such as posters, flyers, press releases, and social media content

  • Develop campaigns to attract new volunteers and collaborate with community partners, local universities, and influencers to broaden outreach.

  • Develop targeted campaigns and ideas based on business types (e.g., schools, markets, barber shops) to secure partnerships, distribute flyers, offer discounts, and co-host promotions.

  • Develop campaigns and strategies to engage local newspapers, radio stations, and TV channels for media deals.

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns by collecting customers' contact information for regular updates and promotions. Highlight event details and charitable causes.

  • Develop and manage a "Bring a Friend" promotion to encourage attendee referrals and provide discounts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience in social media management, particularly Facebook.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Passion for community engagement and volunteerism.

  • Ability to propose creative marketing campaigns and volunteer engagement strategies.

  • The Ukrainian language is an added advantage.

Time Commitment: Dedicate 3-5 hours weekly, flexibly adjusting based on project needs.
