Marketing Manager for Perogies for Peace Fundraising Event
We're seeking a passionate and creative Marketing Manager Volunteer to join our team and play a key role in promoting this important event. Perogies for Peace is a fundraising event to raise awareness and funds to support peace efforts in Ukraine. Holy Eucharist Cathedral stands as a beacon of faith and community in the heart of Vancouver. Our Cathedral is a place of worship and gathering, fostering spiritual growth and outreach initiatives within the vibrant Vancouver community.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to reach a broad new audience while retaining existing supports
Manage the event's online presence
managing Facebook accounts
crafting engaging posts for project events using visuals and compelling content
utilize targeted ads to reach specific demographics interested in community events or charitable causes.
Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, such as posters, flyers, press releases, and social media content
Develop campaigns to attract new volunteers and collaborate with community partners, local universities, and influencers to broaden outreach.
Develop targeted campaigns and ideas based on business types (e.g., schools, markets, barber shops) to secure partnerships, distribute flyers, offer discounts, and co-host promotions.
Develop campaigns and strategies to engage local newspapers, radio stations, and TV channels for media deals.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns by collecting customers' contact information for regular updates and promotions. Highlight event details and charitable causes.
Develop and manage a "Bring a Friend" promotion to encourage attendee referrals and provide discounts.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in social media management, particularly Facebook.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Passion for community engagement and volunteerism.
Ability to propose creative marketing campaigns and volunteer engagement strategies.
The Ukrainian language is an added advantage.
Time Commitment: Dedicate 3-5 hours weekly, flexibly adjusting based on project needs.
