Description

About this event

"Talk the Talk" is a 3-hour educational session where participants learn about the legacy of Apartheid.  There will be a speech preparation and presentation workshop to prepare our youth for the Speech Competition at the Youth Educational Weekend Retreat.  The session will end with BC Black Stories: "Then and Now."

The Need

We are in need of outgoing, friendly volunteers to help with fundraising efforts at the event through 50/50 raffle ticket sales and managing the donations box.

Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to stay and participate in the educational session and network at the event social.  This is an amazing opportunity to make a change. Be a part of critical systems change work that delivers programs to empower Black Youth and their families through training, recognition and access to education.
