'Tis the Season!
Supplies for our Cloverdale Christmas Hamper Program have arrived at the Pacific Community Church and, this Sunday, we need your help to transport supplies to the Alice McKay building at the Cloverdale Rodeo!
While we've arranged for some transportation, we'd welcome volunteers who drive their own vehicles (vans or SUVs will be especially useful).
Please arrive at the Pacific Community Church by 4:15pm and ask for Lindsay Rempel.
As you'll be lifting and moving boxes, here are some safety tips to be mindful that you:
- do not attempt to lift by bending forward.
- bend your hips and knees to squat down to your load, keep it close to your body, and straighten your legs to lift.
- never lift a heavy object above shoulder level.
- avoid turning or twisting your body while lifting or holding a heavy object.
