Can you help us pick up a bucket of hand sanitizer?
Pick Up details:
You'll pick up a 20L bucket (approx. 40 lbs) of hand sanitizer from 1431 Crown St, North Vancouver, BC V7J 1G4 on Thursday, May 14 between 2-3pm. When you arrive please let the barman know you are a United Way volunteer.
Delivery details:
You'll bring the hand sanitizer back to United Way at 4543 Canada Way, Burnaby. When you arrive, please ring the bell and someone meet you at the door to take the delivery.
Note: This is a heavy item. It is very important to prevent injury to your lower back when lifting objects of any weight. Always follow these WorkSafe BC rules, even for lifting light objects:
• Place your feet apart for good balance.
• Bend your knees.
• Hold the object as close to your body as possible.
• Lift smoothly and slowly.
• Pivot with your feet—don’t twist your back.
• Push, rather than pull, a load.
• Share the load with a partner.
• Get mechanical assistance for heavy loads.
Know your own strengths and limitations. Use proper lifting, bending, and sitting techniques to help reduce low-back injuries.
